The official trailer for Deliver Me from Nowhere has arrived, giving fans a first look at Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen in a powerful new music biopic. Set in the early 1980s, the film captures the emotional and creative journey behind the making of Nebraska, one of Springsteen’s most haunting and acclaimed albums.

At the peak of his fame following the success of albums like Born to Run, Darkness on the Edge of Town, and The River, Bruce Springsteen stepped away from stadium anthems to create Nebraska, a stripped-down and deeply personal record. The album was famously recorded on a 4-track recorder in his New Jersey bedroom, producing a raw, lo-fi sound filled with haunting stories of lost souls.

In the trailer, White embodies Springsteen’s introspective energy. “Don’t need to be perfect,” he says while tuning his guitar. “I want it to feel like I’m in the room by myself.” His gritty, subdued performance has already sparked early Oscar buzz, positioning White—already a two-time Emmy winner for The Bear—as a serious contender for Best Actor at the 2026 Academy Awards.

Directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart), the film is based on Warren Zanes’ 2023 book Deliver Me from Nowhere. Cooper also produces alongside Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Eric Robinson, and Scott Stuber. Springsteen himself was involved with the production and made several visits to the set, praising White’s portrayal as authentic and deeply recognizable to fans.

The film features a strong supporting cast including:

  • Jeremy Strong as Jon Landau, Springsteen’s longtime manager

  • Paul Walter Hauser as Mike Batlan, guitar technician

  • Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father

  • Gaby Hoffman as Adele Springsteen, Bruce’s mother

  • Marc Maron as producer Chuck Plotkin

  • David Krumholtz as Columbia executive Al Teller

  • Odessa Young as Faye, Springsteen’s love interest

Strong, who earned a nomination at the 2025 Oscars for The Apprentice, is also expected to be in the running for Best Supporting Actor.

With music biopics like Bohemian Rhapsody and A Complete Unknown gaining critical and awards acclaim in recent years, Deliver Me from Nowhere appears poised to follow that trajectory.

Deliver Me from Nowhere opens in theaters on October 24, 2025.
